Album Info:The Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson acquired a pair of ex-D&H RS-3s, #4103 and #4118, from Genesee Valley Transportation and moved them to Corinth on the old D&H Adirondack Branch. The SC&H held a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on August 24th to celebrate their return.

Description:  Saratoga, Corinth & Hudson's main power for the first two years of it's existence sit by the Corinth "depot", ready to hand off the torch to the new RS-3s. The #5 was the Alco Schenectady plant switcher, while #3021 is actually ex-US Army, but painted and numbered as a D&H unit. Longer trains and longer runs to Lamothe's Landing taxed the abilities of the two locomotives, and gave little downtime for maintenance, so SC&H acquired two RS-3s to take over.

Description:  The cab of a Reading FA-1 sits in the weeds at the far end of the parking lot. It was cut off by Alco when Reading traded in their FAs on C424s and held onto for possible use in crash repairs. That never transpired and it was sold off when Alco closed in '69
