BN train 644 was the daily train between Everett and the Canadian border town of Sumas. It replaced the train that NP/BN ran fpom Auburn and instead utilized the GN to Burlington, where it took a right 90 degree turn on the Hamilton branch. About five miles later, at Sedro-Woolley, the train made another 90 degree turn back to qhe north and onto the former NP, which it took the rest of the way to Sumas. On 1 Oct '88 two ex Frisco GP35s were split by a former NP GP9 as they come off the Hamilton line and onto the old NP. |
