C.S. Jackson General Man I miss those things, Sure they kinda looked odd to me, But they were cool. 7/17/2007 1:08:41 PM
william davis General I liked it better when BNSF had the coal contract & ran the coal trains. BNSF would run BN power & the EMDX ( Oakway Leasing ) SD60'S, as well as the executive painted SD70MAC'S on the coal trains. Now all you get is the same old UP GE'S & the occasional SD90MAC. I didn't mind it as much when UP still had plenty of predecessor's left, but now they are gone for the most part with the exception of a few unpatched SP'S, I'm sure you can see several patched SP'S & C&NW'S, but that doesn't count to me, unless the only thing patched is the number on the side of the cab, but most of the time the logo on the nose is patched over as well. I'm just glad I got plenty of shots of the SP & C&NW before they got patched. I regret not railfanning the D&RGW in Colorado & Utah before they were all gone, but I was able to get several shots of D&RGW power in the southeast & midwest on the SP & UP 7/17/2007 3:12:50 PM
C.S. Jackson General I like BNSF and CSX better. At least they don't f--k up the paint job like UP be doing. (excuse the profanity.). I seen a Conrail locomotive with CSX's yellow numbers and it was hard to tell it was patched. BNSF the same as was CSX. They'll put BNSF on the cab and leave the rest alone until time for repainting. Another Thing, I took that shot of the Yazoo Sub on the newly constructed I-69 Bridge. You can get a good train shot there. Terry Redeker be getting some there. 7/17/2007 4:41:47 PM
