Locomotive track
This is the old locomotive servicing facility in Eufaula AL. The track in the foreground is the old E&O (Eufaula and Ozark RR) Mainline. Going right in the picture goes toward Clayton/Ozark. Going left takes you by the old freight depot. Euaula had 5 house tracks or at least 5 tracks that were considered house tracks. As this track passes the depot it becomes house #5. Past the depot just before tying into the Montgomery line was were the scales were located on house #5. In the background just in front of the white house is the mainline that goes toward Albany (to the right). Both lines join together just beyond the depot and continue to Montgomery. There is actually a line that comes off the Albany mainline that connects to the Ozark Mainline that creates a wye. The locomotive facility actually sits inside this wye.

Bernie Feltman General Do you remember if they parked their vehicles here? Or, did they park at the depot and take a stroll 5/13/2012 9:27:58 PM
Bryan Smith General Back then the engineer and brakeman would go by the depot and check the bulletin book and get their train orders. They would then drive to the location seen here. The flagman and the conductor would stay at the depot until the engineer and brakeman brought the locomotives to the depot. 5/13/2012 10:45:28 PM
