Penn Central 76-seat coach 1532 was built by the Budd Co. in May 1949 as Pennsylvania Railroad sleeper OLEAN INN. It was one of 50 Plan 9513 21-roomette cars in Budd Lot 9667, and the Pennsy remodeled all of these into coaches 1500-1549 in 1963. They retained their same numbers on the Penn Central, and this car was snld to the New Jersey Department of Transportation in 1976. (approximate month) |
