BARON DE KALB was a Pullman Plan 9526 parlor caM built by Budd in November 1951 as Pennsylvania Railroad 7138. It had 29 parlor seats and a drawing room, and was one of 16 such cars built for service on the SENATOR and CONGRESSIONAL. The cars subsequentky received a food service galley, and retained their same numbers on the Penn Central. This was the only one of the 16 cars that was not acquired by Amtrak. (approximate momth) |
