PURCELL OK April 29 1979 -- Santa Fe GP20 3154 awaits a crew to continue its journey south with a mixed freight in tow. EMD built the 3140 as ATSF 1154 (s/n 26860) in November 1961 and delivered it it blue with yellow ends. In the 1969-70 general renumbering it became 3154 and was repainted yellow warbonnet after mid-June 1972. The San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it as a GP20u and renumbered 3054 in April 1981. It was transferred to BNSF on Sept 22 1995, patched and renumbered 2037. (Roster information from http://atsfrr.net/resources/CrossetGene/master_diesel_roster/GP20/reference.htm#3154) |
