David Garon General R/C rebuild of an Alco S3 or S4. 539 has been dumped for a truck engine of some kind. Where's the radiator intake? 10/23/2004 9:18:48 PM
M H General This is a Alco S-4, and it has a 996hp, 12V 2000 series Detroit Diesel engine with a Marathon alternator rectified to the four GE 752 traction motors. The air for the engine and the radiator is pulled through the factory louvers and then exited out the top of the nose. I know because I helped build it and I trained everyone at SweetBran how to run and work on it. 1/30/2005 10:18:01 PM
Bob Clark General It's in the Chattanooga NS Debutts Yard Engine Facillity as of 03/17/2011 3/17/2011 5:05:52 PM
