This wooden one stall engine house still serves in its original capacity for the Stewartstown Railroad. Constructed in the early 20th century, it is rumored to be the last engine house of its kind still used for its original purpose within Pennsylvania. At one time the track extended through the building to the other side allowing entry on both ends. The mural on the side of the building was recently added to aid in the rebirth of the Stewartstown Railroad. |
