WP 2-8-2 #334 - Western Pacific         
Caught by photographer Bob Gattier, this Alco-Schenectady 2-8-2 Mikado built in May of 1929 now serves as a static display at the Western Railway Museum after nearly 30 years of freight service for the Western Pacific. The loco was retired in 1952 but reactivated in 1956 for use on excursion trains and later moved to the Western Railway Museum in 1967. Specs - oil fired, 63" drivers, 190 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, tractive effort of 60,300 lb without booster, 71,300 lb with booster.
