| Nice roster shot of a retired Alco C425 sitting in the scrap line at Conway yard. Originally built as PRR #2432, it transitioned into PC #2432, then CR #2432 before its last renumbering to CR 5068, Retirement was on 3/16/1981. CR conductor Ken Taylor caught it sitting in the scrap line ahead of sister CR 5075 (nee PRR 2441). The color slide had a severe color shift so I flipped it to a b&w image to preserve the details. Ken Taylor, a CR conductor, took the color slide shortly afterthe loco's retirement on 3/16/1981. |
