CN 4-8-4 #6182 - Canadian National         
Barreling past the Burlington, Ontario depot is Canadian Nationa 4-8-4 #6182 with its long string of passenger cars. Buiilt by the Canadian Locomotive Company in August of 1940, the Confederation type (CN's name for Northerns) was the epitome of power and speed. Specs - serial #1962, class U-2-f, 73" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 25.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 383,000 lb, tractive effort of 56,786 lb. The locomotive was scrapped in March of 1960. No date, location or photographer was given for the photo but the location can be seen as Burlington, Ontario.
