Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Englewood, Illinois, in November of 1945. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5501, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built in Juniata in November of 1945 and retired in December of 1953 after just eight years of service. Its maiden run, perhaps? ("2theTrains"; #4 of 4) |
