Portraits 6. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via F.R. Kern that was taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1948. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #549, an A-5S (0-4-0) switcher built in Juniata during November of 1917 and retired in May of 1952 after 35 years of faithful service. (#1 of 43)
