During the late 20th century, HCN cars were painted in this distinctive scheme so they could be easily identified. The car had been built in September 1959 and was stenciled with a LD LMT (with an asterisk) of 55,755 pounds and a LT W T of 78,100. The car was in New Orleans, on a transfer run from CSXT to the Union Pacific.
