Here is a photo that was published originally in the "Altoona Centennial Booklet" dated August of 1949, page 62. Photo Caption: "Recent aerial view of Altoona, Pennsylvania." Pictured at the bottom left are the Pennsylvania Railroad's ALTO Tower, the lead to the Hollidaysburg Branch, the 17th Street Bridge, and the Test Plant Buildings. Beyond them are the 12th Street Car Shops, the Passenger Station and train shed, the 12th Street Footbridge, the Freight Station, and the 9th Street Footbridge. Just past the 7th Street Bridge are the PRR's Passenger Car Shops and the 4th Street Footbridge.
