| We were coming back from yet another trip to Wal Mart-theres a Neighborhood Market on the west end of town-and I saw a train under the US 412 overpass, which looked like a northbound coal train in the siding. As I was taking note of that, I saw a UP unit slowly heading south. OK, a meet, probably easing up to the signal while the northbound clears the plant. I swung down to Lake Frances Rd, hoping to beat the southbound to the crossing. The railfan gods smiled on me, and I got to the crossing just as the gates came down. |
