| This is one of the 15 class C5 2-8-0 Consolidatrion that the Milwaukke Shops built in 1913. Originally it carried the number CMStP #7240 but renumbered in 1927 to CMstP&P 7240 and again in 1938 to MILW 1240. The loco was retired sometime between 1945-54. Specs - 63" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, engine wt of 224,000lb, tractive effort of 43,130 lb. Unfortunately, no photograher was listed for the photo. |
