Description:
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad PMC ( Passenger Motor Car ) 9840 at Lincoln, Nebraska on May 5, 1952, photographer unknown, duplicate slide by Al Chione, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 9840 was built by EMC-Saint Louis in October 1927 ( Shop No. 239 ) as gas-electric number 575, renumbered to 840 in August 1928, renumbered again to 9840 in August 1930, retired in July 1953. According to the publication, Burlington Passenger Car Roster, by William Glick, Number 9840 was converted to passenger-baggage car 3666, and in October 25, 1963, became a building in Denver, Colorado.
