DMIR 2-8-8-4 #225 - Duluth, Missabee & Iron Ranger         
The white walls seem like a delicate touch on the massive and poiserful steam locomotive who works with long drags of sotty iron ore cars. History - Baldwin, 5/1941, serial #62531 The loco was retired and donated to the Proctor Deevelopment Council where it was put on permanent display there. Specs - class M3, 63" drivers, 240 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 695,040, tractive effort of 140, 000 lb. There was no date, location or photographer listed for this photo so an approximate date and location were used.
