Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Baldwin Locomotive Works Plant in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, in June of 1948. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5771 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All are BP-20's rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5771 was built in June of 1948 and retired in May of 1965 after just 17 years of revenue service. |
